Sometimes the obvious answer is simply going to exacerbate the problem.

This antidote just seems to go right through me…

Like a bear caught in a trap, wriggling around is not benefiting anyone other than the hunter.

As the fresh money is printed and poured in to the system that can’t fix things, the markets shudder and those focused on harvesting volatility suck the money back out the other end.

This is not a financial crisis — it is not even an economic one — it is a social one. And the global disruption shows the fundamental lack of resilience built in to the systems we use to operate our society today.

It is time to question assumptions about what was ‘normal’ — and consider the alternative ways we could change to build resilience.
